Co-Founder

Annie Lim ('26)

Annie first encountered Help4Refugees in February after hearing founder Jordan Hattar speak at CISSMUN XIV. Moved by the stories shared at the conference, she went home that day and wrote handwritten letters and brought notebooks as gifts. When photos arrived later showing those notes in the hands of the same refugees, the connection became real. From that moment on, Annie stayed closely involved with the organization, eventually joining a summer fellowship in Turkey. There, she formed deep bonds with Syrian families, becoming a daughter and sister not by blood, but by choice. Passionate about law, community, and above all, people, she believes meaningful change begins with listening.

Chloe Zhang ('29)

Chloe Zhang, a quiet observer with a kind heart, is a member of the Concordia branch of Help4Refugees. Helping others is a habit of hers, as she values generosity. She joined out of curiosity, but after hearing the refugees’ stories, she felt inspired to understand their world on her own. During a fellowship, real-life experiences with refugees helped her form strong connections. Now she is ready to bring their stories back to her home, her school, and perhaps one day, the world. She knows every small thing counts, and to achieve dreams for refugees, she will start with a small step: by talking with you.
